On Friday 12/14/2012 I am going to Denver, Colorado to visit my Brother Pablo Betancur and I am so excited. I have not been to Denver for about 6 years I believe, and in those 6 years A LOT has happened in my life, and with my family. It is just my Brother Pablo and I in the Betancur family, and I have always thought that my Brother is my super hero. We grew up together he was my protector with us being 5 years a part, he always had that duty in protecting me. When I was five we moved to Houston, and we were trying to get used to the big move from New York, which we still miss dearly. The years went by and our teenage years came along and we seemed to drift further a part every year that went by. We never had that opportunity to be siblings, to get to know eachother, to fight you know as any brother and sister would have. He ended up moving to Denver, Colorado where his life completely changed. He met the woman of his dreams Sol Betancur, and he has been Blessed. I am so happy for him, and I always Thank God for Blessing him. He has a wonderful Wife, a great job, currently house hunting, going to be starting a family pretty soon, and extremely smart. He is always so Selfless, cares about other, and loves having a great time. He truly is an amazing person, and I am proud to have a Brother like him. The only thing that I wish is that we would of gotten to know each other when we were living at home together. He had his things going on, and I had sports and high school. He was not home as much, and I was always busy. So we did not have that time together. I always here so many people talking about their families, their siblings, and I always break into tears, because I wish I had that. And a Sister needs her Big Brother, and yes, a Brother needs his little Sister. I wonder sometimes what our lives would of been like if we had that Sibling relationship.
For this Denver visit I will be going alone, my Husband works on the weekends, and my Parents is busy with work as well so It will just be ole ME. On this visit I would like to accomplish sibling Bond, Get to know eachother personally and Mentally, and if feelings come out for eachother then even better, and Of course to have a great time. My Brother and his Wife always know how to have a great time.
If you have siblings at home, please always treasure those moments, take all the time you have in enjoying your life in getting close to your siblings. Having your family close to you is very important, and can make a big difference in a good way in your life. Keep your family close, and let there always be communication between the family. I wished these things were done in my family, but I thank my God for giving me the strength, mercy, and grace to Unite the family. And finally having the relationship and communication that I have been wanting for A long time. God Bless all Families!
